Day Wise Itinerary

Upon arrival at Guwahati airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Kaziranga National Park. Upon reaching Kaziranga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will check in at your hotel. Kaziranga National Park is renowned for its thriving population of the Greater Indian One-horned Rhinoceros and its diverse array of wildlife. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to witness a vibrant cultural program at Orchid Park, immersing yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Assam. Enjoy a delightful dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel, surrounded by the serene beauty of Kaziranga.

Day-1

After breakfast this morning, embark on a jeep safari through the park. The wetlands, rich in birdlife, are among the most productive habitats in the area. Return to your hotel for lunch before setting out on another jeep safari in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

Day-2

After breakfast, we will proceed towards Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. Perched at an altitude of 1,261 meters above sea level, Kohima is a picturesque hill station offering panoramic views of the rugged Naga Hills. This unspoiled destination is rich with interesting sights and activities. Kohima is the land of the Angami Naga tribe, one of the major tribes in Nagaland, known for their terraced wet rice cultivation. Historically, the Angami were fierce warriors, often engaging in warfare with hostile villages and practicing headhunting.Despite its serene climate and friendly people, Kohima has a significant historical background. It was the site of one of the fiercest battles of the Second World War, enduring a fifty-day-and-night struggle known as the Battle of Kohima. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Kohima, soaking in the unique blend of history and natural beauty.

Day-3

Whole day in Kohima at the famous Hornbill festival. Return to Kohima by dusk. Dinner and Overnight in Kohima.

Whole day in Kohima at the famous Hornbill festival. Return to Kohima by dusk. Dinner and Overnight.

Day-5

After an early morning breakfast, start your drive to the last motorable point at Vishwema village and begin your trek to Dzukou, the southern part of the valley, situated at an elevation of 2,438 meters. The trek is easy to moderate and takes about 3-4 hours. Enjoy the enchanting beauty of the valley, filled with short bamboo, streams, and low hillocks. Dzukou is known as the "Valley of Flowers of the East," as during the season (July-August), the entire valley blooms with flowers, especially lilies of various colors. In the evening, return to the motorable point and drive back to your hotel or homestay.

Day-6

Today we will visit Khonoma, one of the most beautiful villages in all of Nagaland. This village inhabited by the Angami tribe has a very rich history and culture. Walk around the village interacting with the locals and understanding the culture of the Angami society.  Enjoy a traditional Naga meal after which we drive back to Kohima.

After breakfast, we shall drive towards Dimapur for your onward journey.
